Biting the Bullet

I finally did it!  I have actually booked myself into a dentist..... Eeeeek!  At this stage it is only a check up and clean but it has been over 20 years since my last professional clean that I feel like I may lose an extra few grams! lol

I figured that getting this on and off my To Do List first thing would be a good idea!  I know that it will lead to more appointments but.... it just has to be done!  I can not even begin to explain the crippling fear I have of dentists!  If I can eat this particular frog... then the rest of the year will be a breeze!  In my quest to be organised this year, I even got them to email me the New Patient Form... it is already printed, filled in and ready to go in my 'car file'.

Living rurally creates a few issues, as did my total lack of organisation!  I think I have been 'spontaneous' my entire life.  This is really just a nice way of saying "flying by the seat of my pants" (Which are currently an entirely unattractive size 22!)  It is for this reason that I have been working hard to organise myself.  Menu planners, Personal and Family Planners and now... the Car File!

The Car File holds lists and important paperwork for whenever I leave home and head into the big smoke.  I have three Manilla Folders in there... they are labelled Local, North and South.  It is a work in progress but I am giving it a red hot go!  There is nothing more annoying (or expensive) than having to make a second trip because I missed something or ran out of time!

In the North file I have had to include a new set of scales on the shopping list for this afternoon!  With bated breath (and a wine free day yesterday) I jumped on the scales to see how I was going... 117kg!!! So off I jumped and then back on 111kg! What??? On and off like a bride's nightie for the next 60 seconds or so... with 9 different outcomes.... new scales it is!

We are heading north this afternoon because I am a little over preparing and cleaning up after meals.  I was fortunate enough to win $200 meal vouchers at the Airlie Beach Hotel.  So it is my treat tonight!  We still haven't decided on which of the three restaurants but I am leaning toward Mexican....  I am looking forward to making some healthy, and delicious food choices!

We are heading off in just under an hour because it is a one hour drive, so I will sign off for now!  Hubby is insisted we hit BCF for some camping gear for next week... hmmmmm.  I am really unsure how I will go without an ensuite and a shower for two whole days!  And even more concerning.... NO KITCHEN!!!!!!!! Arggghhhhh.  On the bright side though... I may have a whole heap of YIAH camping recipes to share with you.
